In principle, the treatment of hypertension should aim at lowering the
blood pressure gradually, by small margins, and protect the body
organs at the same time. In regard to society at large, the ultimate
aim is to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular diseases and the
mortality from them. How is hypertension to be controlled, then? In
the opinion of traditional Chinese medical scholars, the problem
should be tackled from what is at the root. They think that the basic
task is to make the blood vessels free for blood to pass through, to
increase the elasticity of the blood vessels and prevent them from
hardening, and to nourish the liver so as to make it more powerful in
performing its functions and purifying blood.
Anti-hypertension Tea-leaf flower is a health-care product which can
cure or prevent hypertension. But what is Anti-hypertension tea-leaf
flower? It is an organism of the vegetable kingdom which has been used
in traditional Chinese medicine for almost a thousand years. China is
a country with many dialects. The plant we are now considering has
quite a few dialect names.
Anti-hypertension Tea-leaf flower is the literal, or semantic,
translation of just one of these dialect names. The other dialect
names would best be translated phonetically, for their literal
translations would each carry some irrelevant significance. For
example, a popular name is phonetically lobma, which is not suitable
for literal translation. When in difficulty of mutual understanding,
we may use its scientific name, which is Apocynum venetum.
Anti-hypertension Tea-leaf flower is more than a simple health-care
drink. It can be used as a medicine to cure hypertension. What is
especially noteworthy in this respect is that in most cases the
therapeutic effect increases progressively instead of decreasing with
the period of administration of this tea as a medicine. This fact once
filled people with wonder.
After making due investigations, some scholars claimed that they had
found the cause of this progressive increase in efficacy of Anti-
hypertension tea-leaf flower in alleviating the symptoms of
hypertension. The active ingredients of this herbal medicine tend to
stay in blood for a long time. The accumulation of increments of these
active ingredients in the blood over a long period makes for elevation
of the total effect and causes the medicine to seem more and more
efficacious.
The active ingredients that the Anti-hypertension tea-leaf flower
contains are flavone (2%) (including rutin) and other chemicals, such
as anthraquinone derivatives, glutamine acid, and steroids.
According to the Chinese Clinical Handbook for New Ways of Using
Common Medicines, 596 people were kept on record in an experiment.
Each of these people steeped 3-6 grams of Anti-hypertension tea-leaf
flower in boiling water and drank the beverage so made as if it were
common tea. They did so for three months. Of these 596 people, 254
showed no more symptoms of hypertension or showed conspicuous
alleviation of the symptoms, there were 143 whose blood pressure had
been lowered to below 140/90 mm Hg, and there were 268 whose systolic
or diastolic pressure had become lower by 19.5 mm Hg. This means that
the rate of effectiveness of Anti-hypertension tea-leaf flower in
curing hypertension was over 85%. It was also found that the rate of
effectiveness of drinking the tea for a period of 6 months reached
93.3%. As mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the active ingredients
of the medicinal tea tend to stay in the blood for a long time. This
phenomenon precludes to a large extent a rebound of the blood
pressure. Of course, it is advisable that you continue drinking the
tea after your blood pressure has come down to the normal level.
Main ingredients of Anti-hypertension Tea-leaf flower
Anti-hypertension Tea-leaf flower is a shrublike herb. Its tender
leaves are generally plucked in July because at that time of the year
the herb, or shrub, is under the greatest vaporizing influence and all
the constituents that are beneficial to human health are rising into
the top branches. Therefore, the tender leaves on the top branches
have the highest medicinal value besides being very fragrant like
flowers. The tender leaves plucked in July are processed in the same
way as green tea, which means that they do not undergo any
fermentation. The processed leaves are compact in form and deep green
in color with enduring fragrance. The beverage made by steeping them
in boiling water is aromatic and tasteful. It is a flavorful natural
drink. Anti-hypertension Tea-leaf flower is a drink that has been
proved in rigorous tests to be able to regulate and stabilize blood
pressure.
